Beyond the common nomenclature we all know as "font," when referencing the digital form of type, typography requires much more interpretive depth. Grid layout, placement of elegant lines, structure and form are all reminiscent of the very same strokes created while painting or drawing. I believe most design parameters, if not all, are based off the same visual fundamentals as script & letter-forms…

BRAND X

When products, ideas or services are given identity, they become a brand. Brand X is my showcase of exploration, by means of creative direction and redesign of existing identities redefining their unique essence and personality.

Whether sketching, illustrating or painting…conceptual, figurative and abstract expression are all channels used to funnel the sublime. Value shading, bold colors and vivid detail are always my ideal method to convey reality paired with imagination.

PHOTOGRAPHY

The creative process of a photographer, is one of a kind. Capturing the essence of a moment in time in every frame.  Through my lens' eye, I treat the image as a neutrally objective symbol that gains impact through scale, subject matter, lighting and camera angle.

CULINARY

Cooking is one of the purest expressions of what it means to be human.  Just as the pursuit of any craft requires technical skills and the willingness to use them attentively, so does the culinary arts; as I am happiest when able to make coherent dishes from a myriad of basic ingredients, each highlighting the best of varying cultures.
